Frequently asked questions

The following are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If they don’t help, please either contact us here or call our messaging service on 020 8108 2661 (mid-February to July only) and a member of the Concerts Team will get back to you as soon as possible. Please do not call the pool reception.

Tickets and orders

You can buy tickets from this website by following the links to our ticketing platform, Ticket Tailor. We have done our best to keep administration charges to a minimum. You will be sent your unique e-tickets by email almost immediately after purchase. Your e-tickets can be scanned from your phone or you can print them out and bring them with you on the night.
You can pay with most major bank and credit cards and we’ve added the ability to use Apple Pay and Google Pay
Your e-tickets will usually arrive within 1 hour of booking so if you have not received yours please get in touch with us as soon as possible via concerts@hamptonpooltrust.org.uk. You will also receive a receipt from PayPal. Please note that this receipt is not valid for entry on the night.
Your tickets were sent to you from hi@tickettailor.com so you could try searching for that in your inbox/junk mail/trash. If you still don’t find them, please email concerts@hamptonpooltrust.org.uk and we will arrange for the tickets to be reissued.
We can scan your tickets from your mobile phone, so it’s no problem if you can’t print them. Just present the emailed tickets on your phone to one of the team at the entry gate.
A limited number of tickets for each concert are available for children aged between 4 and 12 years old (on the date of the concert). Infants aged 3 or below may attend free of charge and no ticket is necessary. In all cases, we would recommend the use of ear defenders for young children.
When accompanying a registered disabled guest who would otherwise be unable to attend the concert, we are happy to provide a complimentary ticket for a carer. Please email concerts@hamptonpooltrust.org.uk for further details.
We’re sorry but tickets are non-refundable.
We are not maintaining waiting lists this year.

Concert details

The scheduled opening time is 19:00. However, the gates may open a few minutes before then. You will have time for a swim in our wonderful heated pools before the shows start, usually at around 19:45 (all show timings are approximate).

All concerts will finish no later than 22:55.

There will be an interval halfway through the evening. Food and drink will be available throughout the evening (see below and the food and drink page).

You are welcome to bring your own picnic and soft drinks, but the premises are licensed for the concerts so you cannot bring in any alcohol. As we have many bare feet around the pool, for safety reasons you must not bring any items of glass (bottles/glasses/bowls/etc.) onto the pool site.
The majority of the space for seating is on the grassy area in front of the stage. You should bring blankets and folding chairs (if you want these). There are no reserved areas.
The pool grounds are on a single level without steps so it is accessible for wheel chairs and those with difficulty walking. Please note that in some areas the ground is uneven.

There is limited room in the car park so please call in advance on 020 8108 2661 (mid-February to July only) if you are a blue badge holder and you would like a space reserving.

If you have reserved a space in the car park and arrive early you may wait in reception until the site is ready and safe to be entered. You will be advised by reception when you may enter the site.

Please let us know if you will require any special arrangements by contacting the pool in advance on 020 8108 2661 (mid-February to July only).

Adverse weather

The performers are on a covered stage and the concert will go ahead. Only in extreme conditions, and where a question of health and safety is involved, would the concert be cancelled. Please ensure you bring adequate clothing for the weather conditions.
No refund will be given if a concert is started but later abandoned. If a concert is abandoned before the start of the concert, you would receive a refund.

Security at our concerts

Those who have been to previous concerts at our family-friendly venue have hopefully found our security arrangements to be fairly unobtrusive. However, we work behind the scenes throughout the year, and especially at the events themselves, to ensure that our audience, performers, volunteers and pool staff are as safe and secure as possible.

The answer is lots.

One of our trustees works in the security industry and is responsible for oversight of concert security arrangements. We continually review our security measures in the months leading up to the concert series and work very closely with the local police and members of the security services to ensure our security procedures are up to date and following best practice.

We monitor the whole site as part of ongoing pool operating procedures and pool staff and volunteers are trained to ensure all our guests have a safe, secure and happy time. On the days of the concerts, our volunteers and pool staff are supplemented by licensed security staff.
Since the current security situation in the UK is fluid, our exact security arrangements are still under review.

This section of the website will also be updated when appropriate. However, whatever measures are decided will be proportionate to the threat level, and discussed in advance with the police. These may include up to 100% bag searches before entry to the pool. Please be patient and cooperate with any security requests and searches. We have your safety and security at heart.

We hope that in practice, your experience will be largely unchanged from previous years.

Food and drink

You are welcome to bring your own picnic and soft drinks, but the premises are licensed for the concerts so you cannot bring in any alcohol. As we have many bare feet around the pool, for safety reasons you must not bring any items of glass or ceramic (bottles/glasses/bowls/plates/etc.) onto the pool site.

You may bring folding picnic tables and folding picnic chairs. You may not bring larger folding tables or non-folding furniture and should not seek to create an “encampment” in the middle of the body of the audience.
There is a reasonably priced bar selling a range of wine, cider and beer, including draft ales and lagers.

All major credit and debit cards are accepted at the bar and we will no longer be accepting cash.

You cannot bring your own alcohol because the premises are licensed. The bar is run by volunteer helpers and any surplus made from bar sales goes towards safeguarding the future of Hampton Pool for the community.

Again, as we have many bare feet around the pool, for safety reasons you must not bring any items of glass onto the pool site.
Yes. Please see the Food and Drink page of this website for more details.

Parking, travel and accommodation

The car park will be closed for the duration of the concerts except for pre-arranged disabled parking and concert crew.

Drop-offs in the car park will NOT be possible.

If you would like to pre-arrange disabled parking please email the Concerts Team on concerts@hamptonpooltrust.org.uk or call 020 8108 2661 (mid-February to July only) and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Please be aware that space is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis to Blue Badge holders only.

If you park in residential streets adjacent to the pool, please make sure that you respect our neighbours and park considerately. Please do not obstruct driveways or make it difficult for emergency vehicles to access roads.

Please be quiet when returning to your vehicle after the concert. Do not leave litter anywhere or use our neighbours’ gardens as lavatories. Use the facilities at Hampton Pool before leaving the site.
The area is well served by public transport. The R68 bus stops directly outside the pool. It runs between Hampton Court Station (connecting to SW Trains) and Richmond Station (with connections to both overground trains and the District Line of the London Underground. From there it passes through Twickenham and Teddington, in both cases not far from the stations. The 111 and 216 buses connect to Kingston Station.

There are also buses from Staines which stop close by.

You can check further details on the Transport for London or Red Planet Travel websites.
There is a Travelodge in Teddington and also in Twickenham, Sunbury, Kingston and Hounslow, all convenient for local bus routes R68, 216 and 111. There are also other hotels in Kingston, Hampton Hill, Hampton Court and Sunbury – with easy access to the pool by means of the local bus services.

Covid

Now that the government has lifted all mandatory covid requirements, we do not currently envisage a requirement for any restrictions for our summer events. However we reserve the right to introduce any government or local authority mandated Covid 19 requirements/restrictions in place on the date of the event.
